Öhman wishes to contribute to a sustainable development by taking responsibility for the effects that the business has on the environment. One of the most important measures with respect to this is to reduce our direct and indirect carbon dioxide footprint. Öhman has now chosen to be a ”climate neutral” company, which in practice means that we have taken the following measures:
1. We have identified and calculated the environmental effects of our operations.
2. We are reducing these effects by making systematic improvements.
3. We are compensating for these effects on an annual basis by buying carbon emission certificates; this benefits global projects that have a positive effect on the environment.
We are also working with further reducing our own direct impact on the environment: we have joined Stockholm’s ”Climate Pact” and aim to reduce our emissions by 10 percent this year.
